As usual, the abbreviation in the middle of this roadster’s name has the German meaning, which stands for ‘Sport Leicht Rennsport’ - in English means ‘Sport Light Racing’. The model was produced from 2003 until 2010 and during that seven years of production, the factory built 500 units annually, so the total production is about 3,500 units around the world. It was offered in two versions, 2-door coupe and 2-door roadster with the roadster version was marketed starting from 2007.
This Grand Tourer car is built perfectly by Mercy and the famous British automotive manufacturer of high-performance vehicle, McLaren Automotive. It was constructed in Portsmouth and the McLaren Technology Centre in Working, Surrey, England.

The roadster came with the hand-built 5.4 L (5.439 L; 331.9 cu in) supercharged V8 engine that is transmitted via 5-speed automatic transmission. The all-aluminium, SOHC engine is able to deliver 626 PS (460 kW; 617 hp) @ 6,500 rpm and 80 N•m (580 lb•ft) @ 3,250 - 5,000 rpm maximum torque. The acceleration from 0 to 62 mph (100km/h) is only in 3.8 seconds with maximum speed is about 208 mph. It feels very great to cruise on the road, feels so fast and agile to ride.
In January 2009, the 722 S version was launched to the market and only built not more than 150 units. It brings the improved engine that is able to reach 62 mph in 3.6 seconds that is 0.2 seconds faster than the regular version.
For the safety and security system, it brings two fixed roll-over bars, adaptive airbags, knee and side airbags, seat belt tensioners, stability and traction control, and tyre pressure monitoring feature.
